Zoey’s Room is a national online community for 9- to 14-year-old girls, encouraging their interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Hip cyberhostess Zoey chats live with the girls every day after school for interaction with members on a peer-to-peer and personal level." Zoey’s Room has worked closely with the Federal Trade Commission to follow COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) for registering our members and was the first online learning network to implement third-party identity checks on registrants. Not only do we have safety measures built into our registration process, but we take a hands-on mentoring approach for proactive and ongoing security.

Zoey’s Room offers young girls a platform for being involved in the computer age and advancing their fascination with technology in a safe environment where they can discuss personal challenges. Under the guidance of adult facilitators, the associated Zoey’s Room after-school clubs bring girls together to explore and solve real-world applications through digital learning techniques. Self-paced activities, the Tec-Treks, are fun online and offline STEM activities. They encourage girls to creatively use technology to develop user-generated program content.
